Draft for legal review
Terms of Use
These Terms explain how you may use Feisly, including optional accounts, local Scorebook data, subscriptions, public results, notifications, and support tools. They remain a draft for review by counsel.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and DeadBeet LLC governing your use of Feisly, including the Feisly iOS, iPadOS, and Android apps, the Feisly website, support tools, correction request tools, and related services.
By using Feisly, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Feisly.
2. What Feisly provides
Feisly helps users find Irish dance feiseanna, save events, follow dancers and schools, review public results, track registration deadlines, view maps, receive optional notifications, and explore progress over time.
Feisly aggregates public information from organizer and tabulator sources. Feisly is not an official feis organizer, registrar, tabulator, school, sanctioning body, or scoring authority.
3. Official sources come first
Feisly is an informational tool. You should verify important details with the official feis, organizer, tabulator, school, or registration source before relying on them. This includes dates, locations, registration windows, late-fee dates, caps, syllabus details, competition schedules, posted results, and travel plans.
Feisly may contain errors, delays, missing data, stale data, duplicate rows, source parsing mistakes, or public source changes outside our control.
4. Eligibility and children
Feisly is intended for parents, guardians, dancers, schools, instructors, organizers, and other Irish dance community members. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Feisly only with permission from a parent or guardian.
Feisly is not directed to children under 13 as a child-focused online service. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether Feisly is appropriate for their family.
5. Accounts and local data
A Feisly account is optional. You may continue using Feisly as a guest. If you create an account, you authorize Feisly to authenticate you through Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In and to create opaque Feisly account and family-space records.
You are responsible for protecting your Apple or Google account and for using a sign-in identity you are authorized to use. Do not share passwords or authentication codes with Feisly Support. Connector-research volunteers must complete any third-party sign-in themselves and should never send us the password.
An account can give purchases a stable Feisly identity and prepares the service for future family sharing. Family invitations and shared Scorebooks are not currently available. Store Family Sharing or purchase restoration may affect paid access, but it does not share private Scorebook data with another person.
Followed dancers, followed schools, saved feiseanna, preferences, and similar app data remain local or use the limited private iCloud sync described in the Privacy Policy. Imported Scorebook data and tabulator sessions remain separate on-device data and are not uploaded merely because you sign in. You are responsible for maintaining your device, store account, backups, app settings, and purchase access. Feisly is not responsible for data loss caused by device loss, deletion, account changes, operating system behavior, iCloud settings, or app removal.
6. Free access and paid access
Feisly may offer free features, paid features, trials, promotions, sample stories, or other access levels. We may change which features are free or paid over time, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
Paid features are intended to unlock deeper personal and family workflows, such as expanded followed dancers, full dancer history, charts, rival views, school insights, saved feiseanna, result alerts, and similar app experiences.
7. Feisly Plus and existing Lifetime access
Feisly Plus may be offered as an automatically renewing monthly or annual subscription. The applicable store shows the price, billing period, introductory offer if any, and renewal terms before purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled through the store before renewal.
Customers who previously purchased Lifetime Unlock retain access to the eligible paid consumer-app features associated with that purchase. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Feisly consumer app and Lifetime Unlock product, not the lifetime of a user, dancer, family, device, store account, school, data source, or Irish dance career.
Neither Feisly Plus nor Lifetime Unlock guarantees that every feature, data source, notification provider, platform, third-party service, or app capability will remain available forever. Feisly may evolve, discontinue features, replace providers, remove sources, change data coverage, or stop operating, subject to applicable law.
Unless expressly stated at purchase, Feisly Plus and Lifetime Unlock do not include separate future professional offerings such as Feisly Studio, school, instructor, organizer, team, web, API, analytics, or enterprise products.
8. Purchases, renewals, cancellation, and refunds
In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and may be managed through those stores and RevenueCat. Prices, taxes, payment methods, renewals, approvals, cancellations, refunds, chargebacks, and store Family Sharing availability are governed by the applicable store and law.
Manage or cancel an active subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting Feisly or deleting a Feisly account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
Request refunds through the applicable store. Feisly may help troubleshoot entitlement problems, but we do not control store refund decisions or payment processing.
9. Future Pro and professional products
Feisly may later offer separate paid products for professional, instructor, school, organizer, studio, analytics, web, Mac, API, or enterprise use. Those products may have different pricing, terms, permissions, data practices, account requirements, and support commitments.
Access to the consumer Feisly app or Lifetime Unlock does not automatically grant access to future Pro or professional products unless the product description or written terms expressly include that access.
10. Your submissions
You may submit support emails, launch-list requests, correction requests, removal requests, source links, screenshots, images, notes, and similar content. You are responsible for what you submit and must have the right to submit it.
You grant Feisly permission to use your submissions to operate the service, review requests, communicate with you, correct or remove data, improve source accuracy, protect Feisly, and maintain support records.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, private score sheets, private account credentials, payment card numbers, government IDs, private medical information, or anything you do not want us to review for support purposes.
11. Corrections and removals
Feisly provides a correction and removal process for public data shown in the app or website. We may correct, hide, block, merge, annotate, or remove data at our discretion after review.
Submitting a request does not guarantee a specific result, timeline, or source change. We may need to verify information with public sources, organizers, tabulators, schools, or other appropriate contacts.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Feisly to harass, shame, stalk, profile, or target dancers, families, schools, organizers, or tabulators.
- Copy, scrape, bulk export, resell, or redistribute Feisly data or source data without permission.
- Interfere with Feisly's backend, source access, security, rate limits, or infrastructure.
- Submit false, misleading, abusive, infringing, private, or unlawful content.
- Reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or attempt to unlock paid features without payment.
- Use another person's Feisly, Apple, Google, or tabulator account without authorization.
- Use Feisly for any unlawful, unsafe, or unauthorized purpose.
13. Intellectual property
Feisly, the Feisly name, logo, design, app experience, code, website, copy, and related materials are owned by DeadBeet LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Public feis and result data may belong to or be controlled by the original organizer, tabulator, school, or source. Feisly does not claim ownership of third-party source materials.
14. Third-party services and links
Feisly may link to or use third-party services, including Apple, Google, Firebase Authentication, Cloudflare, RevenueCat, Sentry, public organizer websites, and public tabulator websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, data, terms, privacy practices, outages, pricing, or errors.
15. No warranties
Feisly is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that Feisly will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, current, or compatible with every device, operating system, source, event, or tabulator.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, DeadBeet LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, missed registrations, travel costs, event changes, inaccurate results, or source delays.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Feisly's total liability for any claim related to the service will be limited to the amount you paid Feisly for the app feature giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the claim, or 100 US dollars, whichever is greater.
17. Indemnity
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DeadBeet LLC from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of Feisly, your submissions, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
18. Changes to Feisly or these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Feisly or any feature at any time, subject to applicable law. We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
If we make material changes, we will update this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of Feisly after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
19. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Feisly if we believe you violated these Terms, misused the service, created legal risk, or harmed users, sources, Feisly, or third parties.
20. Legal review items
Before publication, counsel should confirm whether these Terms need a governing law clause, venue clause, arbitration clause, class-action waiver, jury-trial waiver, state-specific consumer language, international privacy terms, or app-store-specific regional terms.
